The Flying Pig Bookstore in Shelburne scored an evening with Peggy Shinn, the author and sports journalist who just published the definitive book about the USA Women's XC Ski Team. The book is called WORLD CLASS: THE MAKING OF THE U.S. WOMEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY TEAM, and it is getting some hot press right now -- especially after Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall became America's new winter Olympic heroes for their historic Gold in the team sprint freestyle.
Peggy will be at the Flying Pig this Friday evening to talk about the team, about making the book, and about her time in PyeongChang. Should be a memorable and inspiring way to close out the season.
