Join us for an informational meeting about starting a Friends group at Carpenter-Carse Library. A Friends of the Library group is an organization that advocates for and raises money on behalf of the library. At this meeting, you can expect tea and a light snack, and to not be kept past 8 pm. We will explain a bit about what Friends groups do, how they operate legally, and at least one Friends group member from another local library will talk about their experience. From this, we hope to solidify a group of people that are willing to advocate and fundraise for the library in whatever way, and however often makes sense to them. Please join us!
