Poverty, class, race, inequality...serious issues that are difficult to understand let alone address! It seems critical that we educate ourselves AND practice dialogue, engaging one another in safe discussion that can lead to improved outcomes and greater well-being for all. This is what we do at The Snelling Center - and our next courageous conversation happens Thursday, January 30th.
A panel, titled, "Poverty in Vermont," with Hal Cohen (ED, CVCAC), Doug Racine (Secretary, AHS) and Paij Wadley-Bailey (ED, RATF), will be facilitated by Martha Maksym (ED of United Way Chittenden County). The panel will be followed by full-day workshop based on the work of Ruby Paine and facilitated by Vermont's Pru Pease, "Bridges Out of Poverty."
9 to 4:30, $110 includes lunch and workbook. More info and registration is here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bridges-out-of-poverty-tickets-8305900171 Feel free to contact me, too 535-8383.
