RELIGIOUS FREEDOM: WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT
March 29, 7-8:30 p.m., Kellogg-Hubbard Library, Hayes Room, Montpelier.

The League of Women Voters of Central Vermont and Kellogg-Hubbard Library is hosting the fourth of its series on the First Amendment, Freedom of Religion.

Keynote speaker Rob Boston with Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU), will provide an overview of the fundamental principles of religious freedom, focusing on current court battles that test the scope and meaning of this constitutional principle and how it interacts with other core freedoms.

Rob has worked at Americans United since 1987 and serves as editor of AU's Church & State magazine. He is the author of four books, most notably Why the Religious Right Is Wrong About Separation of Church and State and Taking Liberties: Why Religious Freedom Doesn't Give You The Right To Tell Other People What To Do.

Join us for an animated conversation on church-state separation. RSVP: lwvofvt@gmail.com.
