The Champlain Philharmonic returns to the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury on Sunday afternoon, March 25 at 4:00 pm to present "Lion and Lamb" - an array of 19th Century works filled with drama and passion, and very familiar melodies.
Under the direction of Matt LaRocca, the program will include Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B Minor (The Unfinished Symphony), Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, as well as Verdi's Overture to La Forza Del Destino, and Sibelius' Spring Song.
The Champlain Philharmonic is a 60-member community orchestra, in their 14th season, that performs regularly in Addison and Rutland Counties. They will also be performing at Green Mountain College's Ackley Hall in Poultney, VT on Saturday evening March 24th at 7:30 pm.
