The Annual Village Meeting is just two weeks away and will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7:30 PM. We have posted several documents on the municipal website related to this year's meeting and the NEW process to elect Village officers by Australian ballot.
Annual Village Meeting Warning: The warning for the Annual Village Meeting lists eight specific articles that will be voted on by those in attendance at the Village Meeting, including votes on the General Department budget, borrowing authority for the purchase of a new Fire Department rescue vehicle, and funding for a study of the costs and benefits of a Village/Town merger. Annual Village Report - The Annual Village Report provides a wealth of information about the finances of the Village as well as narrative explanations about the activities of the Village departments. This year's report is dedicated to the late Antonio Pomerleau. Village Ballot - As noted above, the election of Village officials will occur by Australian ballot this year. Rather than voting for officer positions from the floor at the Annual Village Meeting as in past years, Village residents will cast their votes via paper ballots at the Municipal Building between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 3rd. Once the polls close at 7:00 PM, no additional voting for the positions of President, Clerk, Treasurer, Tax Collector, Auditor, or Trustee can occur. If you are interested in early voting or an absentee ballot, please contact the Village Clerk for details.
