Electrifying contra band Maivish will be coming to the area to play a concert at Sterling College.
Maivish delivers a vibrant performance that includes step-dancing, songs and original compositions. Their sound is mercurial, enchanting, powerful and uplifting. Their palette encompasses fiddle, cello, guitar, cittern, blackwood flutes, percussion and vocals. Caller Nils Fredland has been making music, leading dances, and bringing people together for twenty years.
The concert will be held at Dunbar Hall on Sterling College's campus on Friday, January 31st, from 7:30 to 10 p.m., as part of Sterling College's Community Week. This concert is free and open to the public.
