Next Tuesday: See the most comprehensive map to date of Huntington!

Past event
Jan 28, 2014, 6 to 8 PM

A special place deserves a special map. And next Tuesday, January 28 from 6 - 8:00 pm at the Huntington Library, you can see the recreational lands, forestry resources, watersheds and scenic areas that make Huntington so special.

The presentation is designed not only for members of Huntington's planning commission and selectboard but also for hikers, hunters, foresters, loggers, birders, educators, anglers, developers, and anyone else who values and enjoys our natural, recreational and scenic resources. Members of our planning and conservation commissions will also be gathering ideas how town officials and others can use the map to better inform the planning process and support the goals of our Town Plan. The presentation is free, and no pre-registration is necessary.

The mapping work is part of the Science to Action Project, a cooperative effort among the towns of Bolton, Huntington, Jericho and Richmond to improve the understanding and management of the rich and diverse natural resources that make our area so special. For more information, go to www.ccrpcvt.org/science-to-action, or contact Cathleen Gent, 434-2430, or at townplanner@gmavt.net.
