VTeen 4-H Science Pathways Cafe will be hosting its second teen science cafe on Saturday, March 31 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the University of Vermont. Teen science cafes are a free, fun way for youth to explore science with local scientists through informal discussions and hands-on activities. And, there is always free food! These cafes are planned and run by teens for teens. Open to all youth in grades 7-12. (Our first cafe had over 85 teens attend!)

Our cafe topic will be Proteins - It's Not Just for Dinner with both Dr. Heidi Malaby and Dr. Andrew Malaby who are both Postdoctoral Fellows at the UVM Larner College of Medicine. They will help unravel the mysteries of proteins and their importance to all life by highlighting their own research at UVM focusing on two specific proteins they study, share their discoveries and do some cool hands-on activities to help participants understand protein structure and function.
