Come join the Huntington Conservation Committee on Earth Day weekend to learn more about invasive plants and take steps to contain their spread.

Mike Bald of Got Weeds? will be spending the day in Huntington on April 21st providing both textbook education and hands-on removal and containment techniques of invasive plants. Bring your family and friends and learn how to identify, contain and/or safely remove Japanese Knotweed, Wild Parsnip and Chervil.

Please join us on Saturday morning at the Town Clerk's office from 9:30 until noon.

Please dress appropriately in clothes you are willing to get dirty and can stand up to prickers; gloves and rubber boots are advised . Bring a snack, water and a desire to learn and help in the control of these uninvited plants. Perhaps you have a high schooler who needs community service hours? This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and be of service. (and to meet neighbors!!)

Any questions or concerns please contact Maggie Mae Anderson at soulshine1975@gmail.com. Feel free to pre-register or show up day of.

Thank you! We hope to see you there.
