Join the Lake Champlain Basin Program for a fun salmon talk by Don Lee of The Lake Champlain Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Based in Plattsburgh, this TU chapter helps teachers and students from more than 20 Adirondack Schools learn about watersheds, water pollution, and healthy river systems. Students identify macro invertebrates, monitor water quality in their classroom tanks, and care for the salmon until they are released into the wild in late spring.
Don will also share information in recent salmon catches in the Saranac River and how TU has been active in dam removal on the Boquet River.
Did I mention that LCBP is serving homemade dessert? Please join us at 54 West Shore Road, just north of the LCT ferry. Arrive a few minutes early to park and grab dessert and coffee before the 6:30 start time! For more info, call LCBP at 372-0211.
