Heads up all you movie lovers out there!
Bristol CORE is starting a free new film series with Lawrence Memorial Library beginning this Friday, March 16th at 7:30pm, and each movie shown will be projected in glorious 16mm film! New title announced every Saturday.
Our first film, just in time for Saint Patrick's Day, is Walt Disney's 1959 classic, "Darby O'Gill and the Little People," starring a young singing and dancing Sean Connery. It is said that this was the film that brought Connery to the attention of Albert R. Broccoli, who then went on to cast him in his most famous role as James Bond in "Dr. No".
Synopsis
"A wily old codger matches wits with the king of the leprechauns and helps play matchmaker for his daughter and the strapping lad who has replaced him as caretaker."
Join us at the library for films, fun, and hot buttered popcorn this Friday!
