The Storytelling for Social Change workshop explores the history of ethnography and documentary work and the evolution of a collaborative approach to storytelling that addresses issues of power and voice in media and storytelling.

Participants will also learn the basic skills of interviewing, story circle facilitation, and ethnographic observation as well as the technical aspects of storytelling and tools for minimal-resource and mobile audio recording.
