The League of Women Voters of Vermont invites you to join us for our fourth annual Spring Luncheon and Lecture, this coming Saturday, March 17th from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, Ethan Allen Room, 100 State St., Montpelier. Admission to the lecture is free, and the lunch buffet costs only $5 if you want to dine. All are welcome!

Speakers are veteran journalists Naomi Shalit and John Christie, co-founders of the Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting (akin to VTDigger, but in Maine). They will share their insights about how real journalism works, and how to separate real from fake news. I have heard them before and can say that it will be worth your while to make the drive to Montpelier to hear from them!
