Past event
Jun 7, 2018, 8 AM to 5:30 PM

Join the Burlington Garden Club for a full day excursion to Hildene, the historic home and gardens of Robert Todd Lincoln, in Manchester, VT. The date for the tour is Thursday, June 7 when thousands of peonies and other flamboyant flowers should be at their peak. We will tour the home, gardens, carriage barn, and have a special presentation by Hildene's horticulturalist.

This tour includes: entrance fees; a catered lunch of gourmet sandwiches, salads, desserts, and beverages in an historic private room; a professional tour director and motorcoach driver; and a small donation to the Club.

The cost is $185. This is the major fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit garden club. It supports our many community service programs: youth garden and environmental activities; maintaining gardens at Hope Lodge, Ronald McDonald House, and Wheeler Park; flower arranging with residents of 3 nursing homes; annual education awards to two UVM students; and numerous expert presentations at club meetings that are free and open to the public,
