The Hinesburg Artist Series 22nd annual concert will feature the South County Chorus, the Hinesburg Artist Series Orchestra and guest soloists under the direction of Rufus C. Patrick.
Several selections from Part II and III of Handel's "Messiah" will be performed. The concert will also feature a composition by Dan Forrest entitled "Requiem for The Living." An ensemble comprised of Jim Duncan on trumpet, Jane Kittredge on violin, Kim Hardy on cello and Gary Moreau playing bass will perform "Jubilate Deo omnis terra" by Johann Valentin Meder.
Several soloists will join the 80-member South County Chorus and orchestra. Returning guest artists are Grace Cloutier on harp, soprano Amy Frostman, Moreau and Duncan. Tenor soloist Billy Ray Poli will perform for the first time with the series.
The concert is Sunday, March 18, at 4:30 p.m. at St Jude's Church in Hinesburg. Tickets: $20 for adults, and $15 for seniors and students. Tickets are available at the Hinesburg Recreation Office, Blue Cottage Gifts, Hinesburgh Public House and through Flynntix (flynntix.org or 863-5966) and at the door.
