Class held at River Arts

Beginning in the winter, students will grab a pencil and sidle up to the computer as we build design sketchbooks, using drawing and photography to follow new ideas every week. We’ll travel through the history of design, while checking out the latest innovations and trends, and explore individual interests to create designs and decals for: clothing, skateboard decks, snowboard designs and decals for: clothing, skateboard decks, snowboard design … you name it!

In the spring, students will be invited to pick up a can of paint and come on over to the River Arts Graffiti Wall. We will explore art created in streets and cities – looking at artists from Basquiat to Banksy. Artists will find their own signatures, and also work in a group to decode what others have left in their path. From doodles to murals – we will make our mark!
