Past event
Mar 17, 2018, 8:30 AM to 12 PM

Addison County River Watch Collaborative training is on Saturday, March 17th, and we are looking for volunteer samplers!! For the next two years, our focus rivers will be the Lemon Fair and the Lewis Creek. This means we pick up additional sampling sites on these streams to get more detailed information. So, we are particularly looking for folks who have two or three first Wednesday early mornings April through September to sample in these watersheds. Training information is below. Please give Matt an email or call if you have questions, many thanks to those who have been in touch, and hope to see you on the 17th!

Program runs 9:00am to 11:30am

The Addison County River Watch Collaborative (ACRWC) has been monitoring the quality of Addison County rivers, streams and creeks for over two decades. Volunteers collect water samples – which go to the Vermont DEC laboratory for analysis – once a month, April to September. Sample days are the first Wednesday each month (about 7:00-9:30) during spring & summer. The Collaborative is looking for volunteers to help sample on Otter Creek, Middlebury River, Lemon Fair River, New Haven River, Lewis Creek, and Little Otter Creek. If you have an interest in the health and wellbeing of our local watersheds, and would like to assist in collecting samples, please join us!!

Please let us know if you would like to volunteer:
Matthew Witten, ACRWC Managing Director: 434-3236; mwitten@gmavt.net; Webpage: http://acrpc.org/acrwc

Bagels, Coffee & Fruit will be served starting at 8:30.
