Genealogy in Four Lessons at Martha Canfield Library

Bill Budde, curator of the Russell Vermontiana Collection at the Martha Canfield Library, will present part one of an introduction to family history on Sunday, March 11 at 2:00pm. Part one will cover the difference between genealogy and family history, collecting family genealogy and where to find the information. Part two, on April 15, will focus on how to organize your findings. Part three, on April 29, will focus on proving your family tree. Part four, on May 20, will present the need for sources, the use of DNA in family history, and tips on spending your genealogy money wisely.
The library has some laptop computers for use by participants, or you may bring your own. This free program will take place in the Library meeting room. Please call the Library at 802-375-6153 for more information.
