WORLD CUP CHAMPION KRISTINE LILLY TO VISIT CAPITAL SOCCER CLUB
Capital Soccer Club, and the Vermont Soccer Association, would like to invite you to Montpelier High School on Saturday, March 10th, to “Kristine Lilly: What I learned on my journey”. The World Cup Champion & Olympic Gold Medalist will talk about keys to success, the value of youth sports, and what it took to win major trophies.
The talk will begin at 7pm sharp, so people are asked to arrive and be seated by 6:45pm. This event is free and open to all members of the public. Please join Capital SC & the Vermont Soccer Association for this unbelievable opportunity.
Kristine's Resume
• Won 4 NCAA National Championships at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
• Won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991 and 1999 (played in 5 total World Cups).
• Gold Medalist in 1996 and 2004 Olympic Games, Silver Medalist in 2002.
• 354 International Appearances for the US -- more than ANY player from ANY country, male or female.
• Third in USWNT goals scored with 130. Second in Assists with 106.
• 3 time US Soccer Player of the Year: 1993, 2005, 2006. Runner-up in FIFA Women's Player of the Year, 2006.
• Inducted into the US Soccer Hall of Fame in 2014.
