The Winhall Memorial Library is displaying the artwork of Christopher Smith through April. We are pleased to invite the public to an artist’s reception on Saturday, March 17th from 1pm to 2:30pm. Come meet the artist, view his wonderful creations, and enjoy some refreshments. Christopher Smith has displayed in numerous group and one person exhibits in Vermont and Connecticut. He studied art in high school at Wooster School in Danbury, CT graduating cum laude. Christopher studied drawing and painting at the Rhode Island School of Design; studying in both Providence, RI and Rome, Italy, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1990. He moved to Vermont in 2007, where he works out of his home studio in West Rupert. Christopher has worked mostly with oil paint since 1985. “I like to integrate realist drawing and painting skills with an expressive, modern approach. Landscapes, still life, portrait, city, and seascapes are my favorite subjects. I love the variety of colors and feel of the medium.”
