Strength and Stretch: Thursday, March 8, 1:00-2:00, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bennington, 108 School St. An inclusive, beginner-friendly fitness class led by Andrea Malinowski, is geared towards the “active, older adult,” people embarking on their fitness journey as well as those with varied abilities and mobility. Through a series of standing and seated exercises* we’ll work on important aspects of safe, daily living such as strengthening and toning muscles, building bone mass, balance and flexibility.
Andrea Malinowski is the owner and operator of Optionz Health & Fitness in Bennington VT. She is a Certified American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor and Health Coach, Road Runners of America Running Coach and Tai Chi instructor. *All-seated options are available as well as alternative exercises based upon individual requirements.
Events are free, but registration is required to ensure enough materials and seating. Participation is open to people with disabilities, their care givers and allies. Please let us know if you would like an ASL interpreter by the Friday before the workshop. These are scent- and chemical-free events.
