Granite City Grocery (GCG) is offering Volunteer Trainings to anyone wanting to get involved in this community-based endeavor. GCG is working to bring a grocery store cooperative to downtown Barre. We need volunteers to help expand our membership and to spread the word about us so GCG becomes a reality asap! Trainings are this Sat., 1-18-14, from 1-2:30 and next Th, 1-23-14, 6-7:30 pm - both trainings at the Presbyterian Church on Summer St in Barre. Visit GCG's website for more info. We're looking for folks to table at local events, write for newsletters,etc, and, to hold neighborhood gatherings to get the word out about GCG. Please consider helping to make this much needed downtown food cooperative a reality.
