Greetings neighbors,

I’m writing to you because my company, SSG Advisors, is hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday, January 22, to contribute to relief efforts in the Philippines following super-typhoon Haiyan, which struck land on November 8 causing massive destruction).

As a Vermont-based business, SSG Advisors has a unique bond with Philippine communities that are reeling in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, which slammed into the central Philippines on November 8, leaving thousands dead and millions displaced. In the wake of this destruction, SSG is sponsoring an event on January 22 to raise funds for PBSP and Anscor , two non-profits in Coron, one of the many Philippine communities affected by the strongest typhoon ever known to hit land. PBSP and Anscor will work provide essential goods and services to support relief and recovery efforts. Funds will go directly toward providing food, water, and shelter to the hardest-hit, most isolated communities in Coron and elsewhere as they begin to recover from this devastating storm.

Our event will take place next Wednesday, January 22, from 5:30 to 8:00pm and will feature Zero Gravity beer, food from New Moon, Sugar Snap, Mirabelle’s and other local businesses, and the Burlington-based band Mint Julep! We will have a silent auction and raffle throughout the evening and will hear from folks in the Philippines about the relief efforts taking place to recover from the typhoon.

I invite you to join us for this meaningful event by RSVP-ing to the Facebook event. You can buy tickets ahead of time on Eventbrite or at the door.

Hope to see you there!
