Come see the Pulitzer and Tony award winning play "Doubt, a Parable" by John Patrick Shanley presented by Essex Community Players http://essexplayers.com/. Performance dates are: 3-1-18, 3-2-18, 3-3-18 with a matinee on Sunday 3-4-18.

"Doubt" takes place in a 1964 New York City Catholic school but is not really about religion. The play dishes out drama with current social themes of racism, feminism and self doubt on a backdrop of suspicion and accusation. It is a commentary on what can happen when you cling to a conviction with no facts to back it up but, refrains from being preachy. Instead the audience has to draw it's own conclusions. This is a fast moving, yet touching play that will have you on the edge of your seat!!
