I haven't posted on FPF in a while, but I wanted to let folks know that we hold a playgroup for young children at the Community Center in Plainfield, above the coop -- every Saturday from noon to two! Here is a link for the Facebook group page:

As it says on the FB page, "joyfully creative, attentive, social and responsive play for young children and families... we have lots of arts and crafts supplies, a spacious and beautiful room for active fun, and a variety of open-ended building, pretending, and creative materials, with more on the way. About me:
My name is Drew Sy and I live in Plainfield with my wife Nancy Ellen. I'm at Johnson State College studying for my masters in clinical mental health counseling, and plan to go on to become a registered play therapist. I've worked in early childhood education in central VT most of my adult life, and run or co-directed several preschool programs in the area. Most recently I've been employed at Lamoille County Mental Health Services in Morrisville, as a community skills worker with school age children. Supporting children's and families' mental health and growth, with play as a primary foundational piece, is my life's work!
