Everyone is welcome to come attend a Candle Lit Vigil at the Bristol Federated Church located at 6 church st in Bristol. This is to remember and honor those who lost there lives in the horrific events at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. While we are far in location, we are close in heart. Many of us are having a hard time digesting what has happened, many more have fear for our own children or grandchildren, and even more are deeply hurt, saddened, and overwhelmed like myself with a feeling of hopelessness.
We will come together as a community not to take a political stance, but to mourn the loss of life, to recognize our fear, hurt, and the uncertainty we all feel and try to find comfort in one another while carrying this burden we feel weighing heavy on us.
The Vigil starts at 7pm with Pastor Bill Elwell Speaking, we will then move in to lighting candles, have a 5 min of silence and then finish with singing 3 or 4 songs. We expect the Vigil to run 45 min.
This vigil is open to anyone regardless of religious beliefs and all are welcome.
If you have any questions feel free to contract John Ouellette via e-mail.
