Introduction to Fly Tying Course

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department and Green Mountain Fly Tiers are partnering to offer an Introduction to fly tying course. This introductory course will focus on material, hook, and thread terminology. Techniques such as thread control, proportion, tying on materials, dubbing, and wings and tails will be covered while tying a variety of flies

The course takes place over four nights (must attend all four sessions) February 26, March 5, 12, and 19 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Kehoe Conservation Camp, 636 Point of Pines Rd., Castleton, VT 05735. There is a $20 fee to be paid to the Green Mountain Fly Tiers to cover the cost of materials.
