Learn important factors and considerations influencing tree planting decisions for an unknown future.
How can we plant trees that will thrive in an unknown future? What factors should we consider when choosing and planting saplings that might live a century or more? We will be exploring and discussing many factors such as a changing climate, carbon sequestration, pests and disease, wildlife, aesthetics, genetics, human uses and budget. We will focus on species selection for diversity and resilience.
