ECHOES: THE CHORAL MUSIC OF RICHARD STOEHR – Hosted by St. Michael’s College Fine Arts Department Sunday, February 18, 3:00 pm Three of Vermont's finest choral ensembles join forces to perform the works of Richard Stoehr, including worldwide debuts of his choral works. Stoehr was a Viennese-trained composer who taught at Saint Michael's College after fleeing the Nazis During his 50-year career as a teacher, his students included Herbert von Karajan, Erich Leinsdorf, Rudolf Serkin, Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein and Marlene Dietrich.

The three choirs include Bella Voce Women's Chorus of Vermont and Solaris Vocal Ensemble, both directed by Dr. Dawn O. Willis, and Counterpoint Vocal Ensemble, directed by Nathaniel G. Lew.
