Corrections: Feb. 26 Legislative Forum

Past event

I apologize - I made at least two mistakes in my last post. That will teach me to try and do anything while I'm away on vacation.

The Townwide Legislative Forum and Community Supper begins at 6:00 PM on February 26th at the Willey Building, not at 7:00 PM as previously reported. I also apologize to Ted Domey - he was out sick the night I attended the selectboard meeting, and so I thought Michael Hogan was chair. We all send good health wishes to Ted.

I have already heard from people who are willing to help with the community supper. We need food donations, cash donations to help buy food, meal planners, cooks, and clean-up crew. We'd love to have a baking contest dessert - the first ten people who volunteer to bring at least two dozen cookies will get a $10 voucher from the Village Store to help buy ingredients, sponsored by the Headwaters Garden and Learning Center in Cabot. (www.headwatersvermont.org). There will be prizes for cookies and other desserts - don't forget to label them by category: vegan, gluten free, nut free, dairy free, sugar free, diabetic, are there more? Write me at gwenhs@gmail.com if you can do it.

It looks like The Den will help us with beverages. The supper will be free, beverages will cost something. I hear a rumor of a specialty Den "mocktail" that will commemorate the occasion appropriately.

The school budget is serious business. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun as a community while we try to work it out. We need to show our legislators that Cabot cares. Please help - everyone welcome.
