Coupling is natural to Valentine’s Day, and what would be more romantic than spending an intimate evening dining at the vineyard on Friday night, February 14th. At this dinner you will savor a 5 course meal pairing the wonderful creations of Phantom Dinner's amazing chef, with the rich and warm notes of Shelburne Vineyard’s wines.
The five course dinner menu will pair each offering with a special Shelburne Vineyard wine selected to bring out the best of both. The meal will include:
Course 1:Seafood consumme with fresh scallops, shitake mushrooms, and pickled golden beets paired with Cayuga White Course 2: Wild rice salad with smoked trout, apple, pomegranate, hazelnuts, cider reduction, shaved celery and fennel paired with Louise Swenson
Course 3: “Lobster roll” with fresh poached lobster, orange segments, potato, radish, celery, hijiki, and orange/vanilla aoli over homemade toast
Course 4: Grilled buttlerflied leg of lamb with celeriac mashed potatoes, braised purple cabbage, and jalapeno/orange marmalade paired with Marquette
Course 5: Dark chocolate bread pudding with poached pear and maple/cinnamon whlpped cream paired with the vineyard’s Rhapsody Ice Wine
Dinner will be served in Shelburne Vineyard’s cozy Loft with its soft lighting and warm cherry wood accents and will be accompanied by the gentle strains of music from Mayfly, featuring fiddler-extraordinaire, Katie Trautz. The $100 Pris Fixe dinner includes a special pre-dinner Harvest Widow’s Revenge cocktail, dinner, wine, music and tax.
