The Poultney Rotary and Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill invite local artists to enter their unique Maplefest masterpieces in the 2018 Sap Bucket Challenge. This is your opportunity to take a sap bucket and turn it into a work of art. Interested artists can pick up a free “sap bucket canvas” at Williams Hardware during regular business hours. Thanks to several local maple syrup producers for donating the buckets!
Buckets can be returned February 26 - March 2 to Williams Hardware or the Poultney Public Library. Beginning the week of March 12, the sap buckets will help dress the storefronts of Poultney.
A silent auction of the painted sap buckets will be held during Maplefest on Saturday, March 24 from 11am-3pm at the Poultney American Legion Post #39. Funds will benefit both Rotary and Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill.
There will also be PRIZES, donated by Telescope Casual Furniture and Centers Healthcare of Granville NY, for “Best in Show” and two youth categories (1) PreK–6th grade and (2) Junior High–College.
