What’s better than a warm fire to toast the winter doldrums? Why, great entertainment, of course! Wipe the winter gloom away, and come out to the Town Hall Theater February 8-11 to see the Middlebury Community Players’ presentation of PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE.

About the play... It is 1904, in Paris, France. The Lapin Agile (Nimble Rabbit), quaint watering hole to struggling artists and would-be geniuses, welcomes two soon-to-be legends for one extraordinary night. Picasso and Einstein, whose egos match their intellects, spar with the regulars and each other about art, science, inspiration, love, and the promise of the 20th century. Throw in a mysterious visitor who makes the ladies swoon, and you’re in for a well-rounded theater experience.

There will be a cash bar at each performance with a limited number of café table seats available. Tickets are $12 for opening night, Thursday, February 8 at 7:30pm, and $17 for all other shows Feb. 9-10 at 7:30pm and Feb. 11 at 2:00pm (plus $1 THT preservation fee on Feb. 8 and $2 fee Feb. 9-11).

Tickets are on sale through the Town Hall Theater Box Office at townhalltheater.org, or in person at 68 South Pleasant Street, Middlebury (802-382-9222) Monday-Saturday, noon to 5:00pm, or at the door starting one hour before show times.
