Join us for our latest multi-media slideshow featuring our spring 2012 adventure through the heart of the Swiss, Austrian and Italian Alps. During spring of 2012, while relying primarily on their trusty "ski bikes" , we immersed ourselves in the incredibly rugged mountains and rich culture defining the high Alps and its valleys. Fifteen days of snowfall, tree skiing right to the tent, and encounters with wild Ibex helped to round out this month-long, human-powered adventure. During the show, we weave still photos, video footage and music with our own off-the-cuff narration.
The show is part of our ongoing Wild People, Wild Places Slideshow Series, which features ten+ shows throughout the winter season. Admission to the show is FREE, and the show will be followed by a big raffle of sponsor-donated prizes (raffle tix $5 each or 5 for $20) - including skis from Voile, Black Diamond and Marquette Backcountry, ski tickets to Mad River Glen, gloves from OR, a backpack from Mammut, Vermont roasted coffee, layers from Patagonia, and much more! Proceeds support our ongoing work with several non-profit conservation organizations promoting the enjoyment and protection of wild lands in North America, the Arctic and the Andes, including the VT Land Trust, the VT Natural Resources Council, Winter Wildlands Alliance and others.
