Vermont Shakespeare Salon: Staged Reading of Wittenberg

Past event
Mar 10, 2018, 3 to 5:30 PM

Please join us for HCA’s first ever Vermont Shakespeare Festival Shakespeare Salon!
Faust, Martin Luther, and Hamlet walk into a bar at the University of Wittenberg and the outcome is an intriguing and hilarious debate over destiny, inspiration, and conscience.
Wittenberg is an invigorating invention that mixes up Shakespeare’s Prince of Denmark, Christopher Marlowe’s Dr. Faustus, and the real-life Martin Luther in a fateful week at the German university of the title. This comedy reveals the story behind the stories of these three historical and literary legends and is the rare sort of play that can both entertain and make you think.
