ART RECEPTION on Saturday, February 3rd from 1pm to 3pm in the Crowell Gallery at Moore Free Library "Around the Pond" a photographic exhibit by David Parker The Crowell Gallery at the Moore Free Library in Newfane exhibits the photography of David Parker in his “Around the Pond” series this February. For naturalists, birders and those who enjoy the out of doors, this show will delight and inform. Parker’s experience as an educator is evident in the narrative of each image. Local wildlife in over 50 images, some as large as 20”x30”, display their color, habitat and personality. Visitors will see fuzzy water fowl chicks mature to full mating dress; chatty wrens and itinerant warblers; carnivorous hawks and the shy, elusive Bittern. Also present in this acre of water are river otter, mink, and the masterful beaver, without who this pond life would not exist. Looking for a bit of summer? "Around the Pond" will take the chill out of February.
