Posting for our friend, Willoughby Carlo:

Hello everyone,
I want to let you all know about an upcoming event at Mount Mansfield Union High School. On Tuesday, February 13th there will be a workshop called "Seeing and Disrupting Racism".

This workshop-style event was developed for predominantly white audiences. Participants are walked through the concept of white fragility and how white fragility perpetuates racism. After that, specific ways to disrupt that cycle will be discussed. I am a high school senior working in collaboration with the Peace and Justice Center and the MMU After Dark program. This event is free, although to sign up on the MMU After Dark website it will charge $1 which can be reimbursed at the event. You can also just show up! This event is part of an ongoing series on racial justice.

If you would like to come to the event with some background a great film to watch beforehand is "13th" which can be found on Netflix, although this is not mandatory for this workshop.

This event will be held from 6-7:30 pm in the MMU library. If you have any questions feel free to contact Willoughby at willoughby.carlo@cesuvt.org.

Thank you very much, we hope to see you there!
