Tanya Boone and Don Boyajian, two more Democratic Congressional hopefuls, are coming to Argyle. No, we're not pulling rabbits out of a hat. There are nine Democrats running for the 21st District seat, and two Republicans (assuming Elise Stefanik seeks another term). Out of 11 candidates, we have invited one (Stefanik) and hosted four (Nelson, Martz, Cobb, and Finley) so far. Boone and Boyajian will bring us to six, and I don't know how many more we can coax to Argyle before the candidates all start their petition drives in March. But Argylians can be proud that these six people value our votes enough to come and meet us face to face.
Tanya Boone of Granville (yes, she is related to Daniel, so she says) will be at the Argyle Library on Thursday evening, February 8, from 6 to 8pm. Don Boyajian of Cambridge will appear on Saturday, February 10, from 2 to 4pm. We had to cancel Don a couple of weeks ago because of snow. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate with us next week. Please feel free to attend one or both events and question your potential representative.
