"My Sweet Enemy"
Celebrating the Spanish Renaissance
with The Champlain Consort

Sunday, Feb. 4, 3:00 p.m.
First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington

The Champlain Consort performs Renaissance and Elizabethan music on historical instruments rarely seen or heard today (including a contrabass recorder taller than the person who plays it!). The members of the Consort combine recorders, sackbuts (Renaissance trombones), cornetto, viola da gamba, capped reeds, and percussion, in "broken consort" tradition to recreate the distinctive sound of English and European Renaissance music.

Consort members: Linda Rodd, Mary Ann Samuels, Herb Schroeder, Barbara Wanner, Jim Wanner, Chapin Kaynor

Suggested donation: $15
