David Fleming died before he completed his magnum opus Lean Logic: A Dictionary for the Future and How to Survive It which has dictionary essay-entries covering topics such as Boredom, Community, Debt, Growth, and Harmless Lunatics. Shaun Chamberlin, author of The Transition Timeline, has completed Fleming’s Lean Logic and provided a sample path through Fleming’s thinking in Surviving the Future: Culture, Carnival and Capital in the Aftermath of the Market Economy And now Sterling College in Craftsbury Vermont is collaborating with Chamberlin and Chelsea Green Publishing to help Fleming’s work reach a wider audience. Heather Jerrett of Sterling College will explain what’s happening here, and Chamberlin will talk about Fleming’s ideas.
