Creating Safe Space for Difficult Conversations: How to Talk About Racism and Privilege
February 11 and 18 from 4-6pm, at the Village Meeting House (4335 Main St., Waitsfield)

This two-part forum is designed to heighten personal awareness around issues of race and privilege and increase our ability to be in thoughtful dialogue with others. Led by Ita Meno and Kyle Silliman-Smith of the Peace & Justice Center, participants will explore their own identities and practice taking action in addressing micro-aggressions and interrupting oppression in real time.

We encourage those interested to sign up so we have the needed materials and space. Sign-ups can be done in-person, via phone, or on the websites of any of the MRV Libraries (Joslin, Moretown, Warren) or the Waitsfield UCC, Village Meeting House. This is a free event with light refreshments.

Sponsored by the Mad River Valley Libraries, The Mad River Valley Interfaith Council, the Village Meeting House, and Green Mountain Global Forum.
