Progressive City Caucus - Sun, Jan 12 @ 6pm, East Avenue Co-Housing

Past event
Jan 12, 2014, 6 to 8 PM

Neighbors,

You are invited to the 2014 Progressive City Caucus Sunday, January 12th at 6:00pm at East Avenue Co-Housing (33 East Village Dr). There will be food and fun in addition to politics. Come meet and mingle with neighbors, stay informed, talk about City Council campaigns, and discuss other important Burlington issues.

What to look forward to:

6:00pm - Nepali Dinner made by Renuka Khadka. You are also welcome to bring your own dishes (potluck style) if you would like, but it is not required.

6:30pm - Progressive City Councilors will discuss March ballot items and more:

* Rachel Siegel will share information on the three gun control ballot items
* Max Tracy will share information on the plans for the waterfront
* Vince Brennan will share an update on Burlington Telecom
* Jane Knodell will share information on redistricting and neighborhood safety

7:15pm - Separate into Ward Caucuses to nominate Progressive candidates for the March election. This is everything from Inspector of Elections and Ward Clerk to City Councilors. This is a great time to talk with people in your Ward about specific neighborhood challenges and the growth and improvement you have seen and/or been a part of. Both Max Tracy and Rachel Siegel are running for re-election and Selene Colburn is seeking the nomination for the open Ward 1 seat (current Councilor Kevin Worden has decided not to run for re-election).

7:45pm - State Party Chair Emma Mulvaney-Stanak will speak about some of the exciting things happening at the state level.

8:00pm - Event ends.

I look forward to seeing you there!
