Please come to the HUNTINGTON TOWN HALL on TUESDAY, January 30, 6 – 8 PM (drop in anytime) to help create the vision for forest-based recreation in our town!

What is your vision for the future of outdoor recreation in Huntington? Should the Town pursue an accessible town forest? Would you like more river access? Biking? Snowmobiling? Hiking? Skiing? Hunting? A place to camp or picnic? Would you like to see more land conserved?

Huntington was selected as one of 10 communities in Vermont to receive a grant from The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program. This grant program assists Vermont communities interested in addressing issues and opportunities in the use and stewardship of their town forest and generates town forest recreation plans. The Huntington Conservation Commission and the Forest-Based Recreation Steering Committee invite the public to share thoughts and ideas as the process kicks off to develop a vision and action-based recreational plan in line with our community values.

Please join us at the Public Visioning Workshop and Open House to collect public input on the future of outdoor recreation in Huntington. The workshop will an open house format, so drop in any time! Hope to see you there!
