This documentary about race in society, science and history, produced by California Newsreel, has aired on PBS. We will watch two segments of episode 3: The House We Live In, which asks, If race is not biology, what is it? This episode uncovers how race resides not in nature but in politics, economics and culture. It reveals how our social institutions "make" race by disproportionately channeling resources, power, status and wealth to white people. The first part of this episode was shown on January 16th. This part was scheduled for January 23rd, but is being postponed to the 30th due to the weather.
