In the wake of recent business closures in Randolph and Braintree, community members have been enthusiastically sharing their ideas for downtown Randolph economic revitalization on Front Porch Forum, the electronic version of the old community “bulletin board.” It’s clear from the conversation that locals want to have a vital downtown, and have plenty of requests for businesses that they would like to see there.
Kimball Library will be hosting a brainstorming session, to be moderated by John Pimental and Julie Iffland of the Randolph Area Community Development Corporation, on Saturday, February 3, from 1pm to 2:30pm. The topic: the community’s vision of its ideal downtown. Bring your ideas, your optimism, and your willingness to listen. This is an opportunity to discuss a bright future rather than dwell on the past, so please leave any negativity or complaints at home. The session will be audio recorded in order to capture the ideas generated. Kimball Library is located at 67 North Main St. in Randolph.
