Empty Bowls 2018 Community Supper Saturday!
One Day to go! The 4th Champlain Islands Empty Bowls Supper is Saturday January 27th from 4-7pm at the Grand Isle School.
This wonderful community event is a great way to meet and gather with neighbors, support kids and families in our community, eat some delicious home-made soup, mac&cheese, chili, and support our local organizations who work to assure food for all families in the Islands. Your contributions help the work of Food For Thought, The Grand Isle Food Shelf, CIDER meals program, and international charity 52 Kids.
New this year ... a special raffle table for Kids (Basketballs, Get Air tickets, Pizza Putt Gift card..), a silent auction featuring local elegant hand-made crafts (Jennifer Buckner Glass sushi set, Wes Coleman Cribbage Board, Edge one month Family pass, 1 week summer day session to Camp Hochelaga..), and an enlarged raffle table.
Local musicians entertain (4pm Jon Sochin and 5pm John Guerrierre), student volunteers meet, greet and help in the dining room, and a fun and festive time is had by all!
Raffle tickets: $2, 3 for $5, 7 for $10. Suggested entry donation: $5.00/person, $20.00 for a family, for soup, bread, a hand-made bowl to take home and a chance to make a difference in someone's life. After joining us at Empty Bowls, stop on up to Grand Isle Art Works for their Annual Ground Hog Day Gala.
