Food for Thought Farm Brunch w/ Professor Joshua Ramey

Past event
Jan 28, 2018, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Golden Well Farm invites you to join us for the first of a series! Food for Thought is a way to bring stimulating conversation to the the breakfast table while building a strong and vibrant community. This month is brought to you by Joshua Ramey and the topic "What do we Owe Each Other?"

What do we owe each other? Sometimes it's money. But usually it's a lot of other things: care, attention, time, effort, honor, devotion, allegiance, regard, respect... the list seems endless. And who is the "other" we owe? Is it just our lovers or family? God or the gods? Is it "society," whatever that might mean? What about plants, animals, the land, past, present, and future....

Join us for a thought-provoking brunch with Joshua Ramey who is a professor of philosophy. His research is in contemporary continental philosophy, critical social theory, political economy and political theology. We hope to inspire more meaningful conversation with our community, and we would be honored to hear your insights!
