Calais Woodbury United Church is having a free movie and popcorn night Saturday, January 27th, at 6:00 pm. The movie will be "Amazing Grace". Based on The true-life story of William Wilberforce, a leader of the British abolition movement, the film chronicles his epic struggle to pass a law to end the slave trade in the late 18th century. "Amazing Grace," was named after the hymn written by the former slave ship captain, John Newton, who was Wilberforce's spiritual mentor. (2 hours) PG, Wheelchair accessible.
