St. James' Episcopal Church in Arlington kicks off its 2018 series of free community dinners this Friday. The menu, prepared and served by the parishioners and hosted by Irene Novotny and Adele Miller, includes an assortment of meat and vegetarian chilis, along with breads, salad, desserts and beverages. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a hearty meal and good fellowship with their friends, neighbors, and perhaps some friends-to-be. The dinner is free, although any donations will be gratefully received to fund the area's food and fuel outreach efforts to help needy residents. The church, on Historic Rt. 7A, has plenty of parking and is handicap-accessible.
